- Jericho Rosales will be taking his break in making soap opera after 23 years of being in the business
- Despite his announcement of taking a break in making teleserye, Jericho Rosales’ career as an artist still goes on
- Jericho thinks its time to ‘create something new’ like making movies and digital films
Jericho Rosales is one of the most sought-after leading men and actors in the showbiz industry. Whether you’re a teen or teen at heart, you would probably fall for his charms and manliness.
But the 39 year-old actor won’t be doing teleseryes anymore.
During the media conference of the Kapamilya television series ‘Halik’ last April 11 at the Hub Events Place along Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City, Jericho announced that he will take a break from doing soap operas.
In an interview, he said, “I don’t wanna do soaps anymore, and it is not a problem for me.”
“Do I want to stop TV? No.”
“It’s time for me to challenge myself to create something new for myself. Hopefully, it works.”
If that’s the case, Halik which will be concluding in two weeks, is the last teleserye of Jericho.
Halik is a drama TV series that premiered on August 13, 2018. With Jericho top-billing the series are Yam Concepcion, Yen Santos, and Sam Milby.
But his decision of leaving soap operas doesn’t mean that his career as an artist ends too. He will just focus on something different.
Meanwhile, the ‘Asian Drama King’ wants to create movies and digital films for iWant TV, and learn film production roles such as scriptwriting, producing, and directing.
Aside from Jericho, the ‘Ultimate Heartthrob’ Piolo Pascual also decided to take a break in doing soap operas and instead focus on producing films.
