The primetime series “Halik” of ABS CBN has reached its success and graced the nights of every Filipino viewer by leaving every scene with a bang, and now it is down on its last week. Starring Jericho Rosales as Lino, Yen Santos as Jacky, Sam Milby as Ace, and, most especially, Yam Concepcion as Jade.
Lead actress Yam Concepcion as “Jade” plays the role of a mistress and portrays the character in being a strong and sultry woman which shows on the daring roles that she acted upon the prime-time series, that really captured the attention of viewers in hating Jade, when she received bashing on social media and even in public. In an interview, Yam Concepcion stated that
“Parang halos lahat ‘yung tingin sa akin haliparot which in real life hindi naman talaga. It’s just the role that I’m playing na masyado silang nadadala.”
In an interview on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Yam Concepcion was asked if she regretted doing daring roles even before, as a question from Twitter user Shaggy Anastacio, to wit: “Pinagsisihan ba ni Yam Concepcion ang pag papa sexy niya noon?” Yam honestly answered that everything happens for a reason and was part of her journey on where she is right now, and it doesn’t sum up who she is and on what she could do as an actress.
“I’m not gonna deny, dun ako nangaling Tito Boy, of course, dapat di mo nakalimutan kung saan ka nanggaling but I don’t get it kung anong gusto niyong patunayan, anong gusto niyong maramdaman ko. That is why I’m working really hard, also to prove that, that’s not only what I can do.”
As Tito Boy asked again if she really regretted on partaking of such daring roles even before or if she needed to do it to be where she is right now, she honestly answered that she regretted it.
“Everything happens for a reason, I guess that’s a part of my journey. I’ll be honest with you, kung alam ko lang Tito Boy hindi ko na ginawa.”
Yam Concepcion started her debut and daring roles as an FHM Cover girl on October 2012 issue and on the movie Rigodon, an adult thriller movie in 2012. Recently, Yam Concepcion had an outburst on Twitter due to a netizen posting 4 photos of her intimate scenes from Rigodon, from @LiveFreelyTo8 who captioned it with,
“halik #bantanghalik #adultery Omg! Lino!!!! Ipakita ko to sa korte #yamconcepcion #yensanstos”
Yam Concepcion was offended and called out the post and expressed her feelings by tweeting,
“Sa mga tao na nag screescreen cap ng mga maselan na scenes ko from Rigodon, please stop. Nakakabastos na. Pelikula yun. Hindi totoong buhay! Hindi ko alam kung bakit ninyo ginagawa yun. Ano ba gusto niyong mangyari? I-down ako? Ano ba gusto niong patunayan.
Despite the bashers from social media and hate messages that she received, she stills find Halik as a blessing.
“I’m so happy, and blessed because of Halik,” Yam said in an interview.
With this, Halik, down to its last week, still thrills the viewers and keeps them await on what Jade is up to and how would it all end.
