On April 9, 2019, the New York Festivals for TV & Film gala took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event is all about production work. Six international awards for competitions honored and recognizes the World’s Best Work and the men and women who created them. It celebrated the exceptional and innovative content being created today.
The international competitions crossed over regional, national, and continental boundaries to provide a truly complete representation of the very best in creative communications.
Filipinos are competent in any field as our own networks bagged awards during the event. ABS-CBN network won 2 awards while GMA network won 5 awards in the New York Festival.

“Elsa and Sarah” won the Gold World Medal award in the Station/Image Promotion category.
“Local Legends: Karne Norte” bagged the bronze award for the Biography/Profiles category.
Last year, ABS CBN network bagged three awards while GMA got eight awards. And GMA did it again this year for bagging 5 awards and here are the list of GMA winners in the New York Festival.
“The Atom Araullo Specials: No Leftovers” won silver for the Social Issues category.
“Reel Time: Batang Maestro (Little Teacher)” won silver for the Heroes Category.
“Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Salay” won bronze for Community Portraits Category.
“I-Witness: Bilanggo ng Isipan (Prisoners of the Mind)” won bronze for the Health-Medical Information Category.
“War Zone ER,” received a Finalist Certificate in the Current Affairs category.
