The longest running Kapuso network noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ had an unexpected gay couple kissing scene that was aired on live television, which resulted in different reactions from netizens. It happened during Eat Bulaga‘s ‘Boom’ segment on March 30, where gay couples Jhon Patrick Driz and Paul Cervantes kissed after exchanging some sweet messages.
Netizens, shocked by the scene, thought that this kind of display of affection is not appropriate in public. Thus, some started criticizing the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for not taking action and just letting the incident pass by.
After the incident, the segment guest Driz posted an apology on his Facebook account, addressing those who were against the moment that he and his partner made. But he is also thankful to those who supported and accepted LGBTQ’s like him.
