Social Media has become a great tool to keep the Netizens updated with current issues and trends and has become a widely used medium to connect with other people; which the Kapamilya actor Coco Martin is using to interact with his fans and other stars from rival networks. Martin’s Instagram account has become a way for the Kapamilya actor to communicate with GMA Network stars.
His top-rating show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has become the ultimate rivalry of various GMA Network television shows.
Despite the tug-of-war, Kapuso stars have showed their support to the Kapamilya star.
Kapuso stars showed their support to Coco despite of show rivalry.
The lead stars of Alden Richards and Janine Gutierrez of the now-defunct fantasy series of Victor Magtanggol reacted to Coco’s post by leaving laughing emojis in the comment section.
It was a meme indicating the date of the supposed end of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The meme showed that the action-drama show will last until 2048.
The meme went viral and gained various reactions from the Netizens and other artists.
The Kapamilya actor posted it on his Instagram account with the caption, “Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagmamahal !!!” with winking emojis.
Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo who once starred in Cain at Abel also showed his support for Coco by commenting on an Instagram post of Coco, “Congrats sa inyo brad!”
This occurred when Martin posted a quote artcard indicating how FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano rating managed to be higher than Cain at Abel based on Kantar Media survey.
At the time, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano got a national TV rating of 41.7% which is significantly 28 points higher than its rival show Cain at Abel’s 13.7%.
Aside from it, ‘Ang Probinsyano’ garnered a Kantar rating of 44.3% while ‘Cain at Abel’ got a lower rating of 13.3%.

One time, an Instagram video of Eat Bulaga hosts Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola it indicated that Martin have shared on his Instagram account with laughing emojis as caption.
In the videos, the GMA Network hosts did a comedy skit pertaining to the developments in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Wally kept on telling his co-host Jose that he only heard about details of the show from someone.
But as the skit went on, Wally then revealed that he got the details from the son of Jose, Benj Manalo who was a part of Ang Probinsyano back then as Felipe “Pinggoy” Tanyag Jr.
Coco’s Instagram account has also served as a way for him to express himself regarding the issues he’s involved with, particularly the rumored GMANetwork ban on him where GMA Network stars are not allowed to mention his name during promo efforts.
It was during the promo period of their MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) 2018 entry movie Jak Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles where the Kapuso actress, Maine Mendoza have failed to mention Martin’s name.
Lolit Solis expressed her view and defended the Kapuso actress by writing on her Instagram account:
“Hindi naman siguro ganun ka-petty na ang co-star ni Bossing Vic Sotto sa film fest movie ay hindi pwedeng banggitin ang pangalan.”
She also added: “Imposible na hindi pagbigyan ng GMA si Coco dahil alam din ng lahat na sa 7 nag umpisa ang career ni Coco Martin. Huwag na nating bigyan ng malisya na hindi siya nabanggit, baka may big pakulo para sa announcement ng naturang movie, malay natin, wait lang tayo.”
Coco reacted to Lolit’s post:
“Nay okey lang po yun at naiintindihan ko. Sobrang taas po ng respeto ko sa GMA dahil sila ang unang nagbukas ng sakin ng pintuan lalo na si Sir Joey Abacan, napakabait po nila sa akin kaya wala pong problema sa akin yun.
“Kahit kailan hindi ako magtatampo sa kanila. Masaya na ako na natupad ko ang pangarap ko na makatrabaho po si Bossing ganon din po si Maine.”
Coco expressed his gratitude to Joey De Leon through Instagram.
On October 14 last year, the Eat Bulaga host and former TV5 host Joey de Leon posted on his Instagram account for his 72nd birthday.
One of those who reacted and commented on his post was the Kapamilya actor, Coco Martin.
In his comment, he expressed his sincere gratitude toward the Eat Bulaga host.
“Hindi ko po alam kung natatandaan nyo po ako pero isa ako sa mga taong natulongan nyo nung nag uumpisa palang ako sa show ninyo sa chanel sa TV5 sa Teka Mona. Maraming maraming salamat sa pagkakataon na nabigay po ninyo sakin non at hanggang ngayon po hindi ko pa nakakalimutan yon”
