Dawn Chang, one of the Girltrends members, the all-girl group of the variety show ‘It’s Showtime’ has been receiving criticisms after the revelation that co-member Chienna Filomeno made in the talk show ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda.’
Chienna disclosed that she had some confrontations with Girltrend members Dawn Chang, and former member Erin Ocampo, for backstabbing behind her back. Though Chienna admitted that she already made peace with them, this revelation affected the netizens, bringing them to criticize Dawn and Erin for their actions.
In Dawn’s latest Instagram post on April 08, she addressed her bashers by assuring that she will stay positive despite all the criticisms that she has been receiving.
It was captioned, “Negative and toxic people will drag you down with their insults, criticism, and put-downs. Try not to stoop to their level. It is their own insecurities that drive their behavior and it has nothing to do with you. Move on and away from that negativity.”

However, many netizens still lambasted Dawn in her post’s comment section. Where she was called names such as backstabber and fake. Referring to her as insecure and jealous of her co-members.
Despite the bashing, Dawn also received some positive comments from some netizens who were giving their all-out support and love to her. One supporter gained Dawn’s attention by implying to stand on what is right, for the truth doesn’t need to be explained to others.
