ABS-CBN turns voter education into a fun and interactive activity in “Race Your Voice,” an obstacle fun run on April 28 (Sunday) at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City starting at 5 am.
“Race Your Voice” aims to help prepare voters and encourage them to vote in the upcoming national elections this May through testing their knowledge about the upcoming elections and the voting process in a fun way for the whole family.
Students, adults, families, and individuals can join the obstacle-type run, where participants will encounter pit-stops where they will answer questions related to the elections and will get to go through various fun obstacles such as inflatables. Even non-runners are encouraged to join as there will also be booths and activities on ground where both runners and non-runners alike can learn more about the voting process. Everyone can also look forward to performances and guest appearances by Kapamilya personalities.
Those who wish to participate in the obstacle fun run can register by buying race kits, which are available at ABS-CBN Store branches (ABS-CBN Compound, Trinoma, and Glorietta) for P180. More information can be found here: bit.ly/RaceYourVoice .
Non-runners do not need to buy race kits – they may proceed directly to Quezon Memorial Circle on April 28 starting from 5 AM. Admission for non-runners will be on a first-come-first-served basis. For everyone’s safety, pregnant women as well as children aged 7 and below will not be permitted within the event grounds.
“Race Your Voice,” is part of the Kapamilya network’s efforts to inform, educate, and empower Filipinos ahead of the May 13 elections. ABS-CBN News earlier launched its “Halalan 2019” election coverage last year and held three debates featuring senatorial candidates that were streamed online on ABS-CBN News’ digital platforms and aired on ABS-CBN, DZMM TeleRadyo, and ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel. Various ABS-CBN, DZMM, and ANC programs have also featured candidates and discussions on election issues, while Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo continues to visit schools and communities all over the country to hold workshops on citizen journalism and media literacy, which are critical especially during election season.
