He wrote: “First of all, I would like to apologize to all the persons who had been adversely affected by this incident. I have apologized to the police authorities and have explained to them that disobeying them was not my intention at all.
“Whatever I had said and done at that time was just a product of mixed fear and confusion on my part due to that situation which I have never experienced before. I would like to say thank you as well to the 2 MMDA victims, who were kind enough to forgive me.
“Please also forgive me for not granting any interviews after the accident. I beg for your understanding for me to let my emotions settle first. I promise to face all of your inquiries after.”

Major Gideon Ines, Makati deputy chief for operations, said Adecer, whose real name is Douglas Errol Dreyfus Adecer, 19, was arrested around 6 p.m. along J.P. Rizal St. corner Pertirra Street, Barangay Poblacion in Makati City. He said Adecer, who was then driving a white sports car, first hit a motorcycle in Barangay Poblacion. The driver of the motorcycle was Rogelio Formelos Castillano, and his passenger, Michelle Gallova Papin. Both were both employees of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

Instead of helping Castillano and Papin, Adecer ignored them and sped off, prompting the police officers to chase him. Adecer was cornered along N. Garcia St. and even tried to evade arrest, hitting a police patrol mobile, said Ines. He said Adecer, who seemed to be under the influence of alcohol, also became unruly and refused to surrender his license.
Police also found that before the incident, Adecer was also involved in another traffic violation in Rockwell on Tuesday afternoon for driving recklessly. He surrendered his driver’s license for that incident. Police said Adecer was holding two licenses. Adecer will face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries and damage to property and disobedience to person in authority.
The Kapuso actor was released from detention after posting bail on March 27.
