Celebrity couple Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros, whose romance started inside the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house, have separated after almost three years of marriage. MelaSon got married on December 9, 2013 at the Holy Cross Parish in General Santos City, three months after the comedienne announced her pregnancy.
Melai and Jason’s relationship problem was revealed in July 2016, when Jason posted a message on Mela’s Instagram account that said he wasn’t happy about Melai’s onscreen romance on the now-defunct series ‘We Will Survive.’
On Friday, September 30, 2016, Melai announced on ‘Magandang Buhay,’ a show she co-hosts with Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal, that she is 10 weeks pregnant. This confirms that Melai and Jason are back together and are expecting baby number 2 after their brief split-up.

Looking back on 2018, Jason opens up about overcoming marital problems with his wife Melai. The couple realized that their family is their number one priority, no matter how many bumps in the road they may encounter. Sadly, just recently, many have observed that the MelaSon couple is splitting-up again.
According to one of their friends, during their out of town events together, Melai and Jason are undeniably avoiding each other. Melai is trying to be sweet when they are in front of the people, but Jason remains indifferent.
After their event, the couple went out with the group for lunch but were seated separately.
Going back to Manila, the couple rode in separate cars.

Just like Pops Fernandez and Martin Nievera before, if the couple are indeed splitting-up, perhaps they are trying to keep it within themselves and hide their relationship status from the public because of endorsement commitments.
Meanwhile, the couple’s friends are still hoping that whatever marital problems Melai and Jason are experiencing can be resolved, and who knows, a third child may be coming soon.
