The Asia’s Nightingale, Lani Misalucha is a respected artist here in Philippines and in abroad admitted that for several times in her show she also encountered rude audience members.
“Na-experience ko naman talaga yun,” she said during the press conference for her upcoming ACES concert that will feature alongside Darren Espanto and Jona. The said gathering was held at the Dolce Latte Cafe in Quezon City.
The entertainment press asked the OPM icon on how she deals with such situations.
“Wala. Ganun talaga, eh,” her response.
Lani shared her experience in one of her shows where a member of the audience shouted the name of Asia’s Song Bird, Regine Velasquez while she was performing onstage. For her, she would rather let go of the situation than act irritated to avoid more fuss.
“No. Kasi parang ano lang ‘yan, parang sa social media ka, may mga bashers,” she said. “Alangan naman i-reprimand mo. Hindi, e, mas lalo pang lalaki.”
Another similar experiences in the past, she shared: “Actually, nasa banda pa ako nun. Meron sa audience na mga hambog. Siyempre banda ako, di ba? Meron sa audience, maliit na lugar lang yun, e. Tiny lounge, tapos kumakanta kayo ng banda mo, tapos biglang paghihikaban ka.
“Parang, ‘Ano ba ‘yan?’ As in malakas, kasi ang liit-liit lang ng lugar. Maraming mga ganu’ng ano. Tapos meron namang talagang nagdadaldalan sila, talagang nananadya. Alam mo yun.”
Not just in the Philippines, Misalucha also experienced the same unpleasant audience.
“Meron din sa Amerika. Kasi sa audience siya, parang hindi talaga siya pumapalakpak. I don’t know kung ano yung ginagawa ko, I don’t know kung ano… basta ending, tumayo naman siya.”
Despite her bad experiences with rude people, she remains an icon and has the respect of many.
On March 30, her concert is all set to happen after the two successful shows in Davao and Cebu, respectively.
