- After giving birth and getting married, Kylie just wanted to go back to showbiz not expecting much fame
Kapuso Network actress Kylie Padilla, of the comedy romantic drama series ‘TODA One I Love,’ did not expect that her full-length comeback TV series, after giving birth to Alas Joaquin with husband Aljur Abrenica, will hit in the television ratings and be recognized by many netizens.
She then expressed her utmost gratitude to everyone for the opportunity and support.
In a pocket press conference of ‘TODA One I Love,’ Kylie in amazement, did not anticipate that netizens would warmly welcome her show. Before going back to the small screen, her only main goal was to just to work.
“Di ko talaga akalain na after ko manganak and everything, magkakaroon ako ng show na ganito, na magre-rate. I just wanted to work, actually, yun yung main goal ko.”
With this success, Kylie extended her gratitude to her talent management, GMA Network, for the great opportunity and for still believing in her.
“So for that to happen, I’m really, really thankful. And I know it’s not just because of me, its because of the whole team, everyone around me, that’s making it happen. I’m thankful to GMA, GMA News TV, because they really gave me… ang ganda ng materyal. And then kasama ko pa si Ruru…”

Kylie also believes that this success is because of her tandem with former ‘Encantadia’ partner Ruru Madrid, where back in the aforementioned show, they built up a love story to look forward to but was cut short. Despite the ‘bitin’ factor, she knows that KyRu fans are a big part of this success.
“And then kasama ko pa si Ruru… siyempre, kasama ka David! Pero kasi kaming dalawa ni Ruru, may iniwan kaming magandang tatak sa Encantadia, ‘tapos we were given a chance in this show. So, feeling ko, yung mga tao, nagustuhan pa rin nila, and I’m really thankful na ganun.”
However, Kylie expressed that she was actually scared of making a comeback in a loveteam set up with Ruru Madrid knowing that she is already married and has a child.
“Ako, natakot ako! Kasi kinasal na ako, I have a baby na, that might distract from the illusion that we’re trying to be in love, di ba? Pero di pa rin, e. Nag-work pa rin, thank God! Galing ni Ruru!”
But this did not destroy the avid KyRu fans that still stayed strong. They continuously showed their undying support for the loveteam and hoped for more KyRu kilig moments.
