- Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards honors the biggest acts and programs of the past year
The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for 2019 was held last March 23 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California and was hosted by DJ Khaled.
Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is an annual American children’s award ceremony show that is produced by Nickelodeon. The show honors the year’s biggest television, movie, and music acts as voted by viewers worldwide watching Nickelodeon’s networks.
The Kids’ Choice Awards is held annually. Last year, it was Loisa Andalio who won the Favorite Trending Pinoy category against Gabbi Garcia, Inigo Pascual, and Joshua Garcia.
Aside from Loisa, Maine Mendoza and Nadine Lustre were also Nickelodeon Kids Choice awardees. Maine and Nadine won Favorite Pinoy Personality in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
This year, Kathryn Bernardo was just voted as the Favorite Trending Pinoy at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award.

The actress, who just recently turned 23 this year and started showbiz at the age of 7, was up against Julia Baretto, Liza Soberano, and Yassi Pressman for the title.
Kathryn’s career breakthrough came when she was cast as Mara in the 2010 adaptation of the popular ABS-CBN series ‘Mara Clara,’ which originally starred Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes.
Her success led to several acting projects including the primetime 2015 hit ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo’ with real life sweetheart Daniel Padilla. The two of them were eventually tagged the “Teen King and Queen” as their love team is now one of the most popular.
The Hows of Us, Kathryn’s last project with Daniel, hit almost P800 million that marked an all-time global box-office record, making it the highest grossing Filipino film to date, according to the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
Recently, Kathryn and screen partner Daniel agreed to reject projects that will star both of them. They both want to work on their personal growth.
This year, Kathryn will be acting alongside Alden Richards for an upcoming movie, which will be directed by Cathy-Garcia Molina, the woman behind blockbuster hits like The Hows of Us(2018), She’s Dating the Gangster(2014), and One More Chance(2007).
The movie will be partly shot in Hong Kong, and filming will begin in April.
In a clip posted by Nickelodeon, Kathryn gave a short message to thank her fans for the support.

The awarding ceremony was aired over Nickelodeon Asia on Monday, March 25, at 6 PM.
