- After hitting blockbuster status for how many times, they challenged and negotiated to have projects separately
- Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are hoping for different opportunities that this decision might bring
- As a real-life couple, doing projects not in tandem will not hinder them to support each other’s paths
Kathryn Bernardo’s open letter for Preview magazine revealed that she and Daniel Padilla (real-life boyfriend) will not accept projects together this year.
“Some of you might already be aware of this, but late last year, we made a mutual decision to not accept projects together this 2019,” Kathryn said.
After hitting blockbuster status for how many times, they challenged and negotiated not to have projects together.
Their last movie together was a big hit world wide, ‘The Hows of Us,’ where they have proven to the industry that they are not for kilig fandom’s sake, but one of their generation’s finest actor and actress.
The decision they made is for them to grow individually.
“We both know it’s going to be tough for both of us and maybe even tougher for our fans, but we really gave it some thought, and while there’s nothing we want more than to make you happy, we’d appreciate if you can give us this year to pursue our individual growth this time around,” she said.
Kathryn and Daniel is hoping for different opportunities that this decision might bring.
“It’s a risk, and I’d be lying if I told you that the idea doesn’t scare me, but at the same time, I’m excited to discover what kind of opportunities await us both in this journey,” she stated.
As a real-life couple, doing projects not in tandem will not stop them to support each other’s paths.
It was recently confirmed that the Queen-blockbuster actress will be doing a romance-drama together with the Pambansang Bae-Kapuso actor Alden Richards, under Star Cinema to be directed by award-winning director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
