Two of the country’s biggest television networks, ABS-CBN and GMA Network, tussled over the television ratings game of its afternoon bloc for March 18, using data from different audience measurement providers; namely, NUTAM and Kantar Media.
According to the March 18 results of the AGB Nielsen NUTAM People Ratings, primetime programs made quite a close battle as both networks engaged in bringing new and extended soap operas to entertain its audiences.
Based on the March 18 results, the Kapamilya network’s noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime’ lost versus its two rival shows as it gained a total average of 6.1 percent as against Kapuso network’s longest-running show ‘Eat Bulaga’ which earned a percentage of 6.6 viewership and also against the just premiered drama ‘Dragon Lady’ that had a total of 5.5. In addition, the rivalry had at least a gap of 0.4 percent.
Next is ‘Kadenang Ginto’ which earned a total percentage of 8.4 viewership, gaining at least a 2.4 score difference against the drama series ‘Inagaw na Bituin’ which gained a percentage of 6.0 audience share.
NUTAM: March 18, 2019 – Monday
Showtime: 6.1% vs. Eat Bulaga 6.6& & Dragon Lady: 5.5%
Kadenang Ginto: 8.4% vs Inagaw na Bituin: 6.0%
While in the Kantar Media Peoples Rating, it showed a wide gap between ABS-CBN and GMA Network in the afternoon prime bloc programs.
Based on the March 18 results, ‘It’s Showtime’ garnered a total percentage of 18.4 views making it win over at least 7.45 percent against its rival series Eat Bulaga, which earned a percentage of 11.4 while ‘Dragon Lady’ earned 10.5 percent viewership.
Next, ‘Kadenang Ginto’ was a runaway winner as it gained a total percentage of 23.5 audience views, having at least a total average of 11.5 percent viewership gap with its rival series, ‘Inagaw na Bituin’ which only gained a total of 12.0 percent audience share.

Also, on the March 19 released results, the Kapamilya network shows garnered a big score difference against its rival shows. Where ‘It’s Showtime’ earned average total views of 20.0 percent as compared to ‘Eat Bulaga’ which only earned 10.0 percent and ‘Dragon Lady’ which gained 10.2 percent, having, therefore, a score gap of 10.1 percent.
Again, the series ‘Kadenang Ginto’ triumphed, which earned a total percentage of 24 views versus ‘My Special Tatay,’ which only gained a total of 12.1 percent, making at least an average of 11.9 percent score gap.
