Cristine Reyes is much thankful for all the blessings she has received in her career ’til now. One of these is the upcoming daytime series ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit’ as one of the antagonists, after doing protagonist roles for 11 years. She plays the role of Katrina, the mean daughter of Divina Salvador, played by Pilar Pilapil.
Last March 5, ABS-CBN officially released the show’s official trailer, As seen in the trailer, Katrina displays her mean approach to central character, Ella, played by Kaye Abad. In few weeks now, this series will replace the soon-to-end daytime series ‘Playhouse’ of Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo.
Next in line for her is the new action movie by Viva Films. This is the first lead action role of Cristine Reyes, entitled ‘MARIA.’ This new character she’ll be playing is a representation of her new perspective on life.
“Iba na.. Iba na ‘yung outlook mo sa buhay, hindi kana naghahanap ng kasiyahan pa sa buhay, ang hinahanap mo na ngayon . . . Actually wala akong hinahanap sa buhay ko ngayon,” she said.
She also said that in her age now, she needs to work for her daughter.
“Ano lang, for me, dati kasi noong bata ako parang ‘ayaw ko mag-trabaho, bakit ba ako nagta-trabaho,’ pero ngayong 30 na ako ‘No! I need to work’ and wala nang fun for me and gusto ko nang umuwi, gusto ko nang makita ang daughter ko,” she added.
This shows her maturity in her life, not only in being an actress but also as a mother, that gives her the motivation to fulfill her dreams in life.
