- The primetime series was replaced by the newest fantasy drama ‘Dragon Lady’
The must-watch finale of GMA Network’s afternoon primetime drama series ‘Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko’ just concluded on March 02. It was replaced by the fantasy drama series ‘Dragon Lady,’ making it the next rival show of ‘Its Showtime.’
‘Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko’ is a compelling story about Rachel Santiago-Bravante (Kris Bernal), whose life drastically changed when her husband Nathan (Jason Abalos) faked his death all because he felt unhappy and trapped for he was not able to express his true self, all because of his family and pressure in society. As she ventured on searching for a new partner, she met Gavin Corpus (Rayver Cruz) and she then falls deeply in love but Gavin is married to Venus (Thea Tolentino), the transformed Nathan who underwent changes to achieve the female body that he really believes to have.
Little did Rachel know that her rival in love is a transgender, and worse, it is her former husband Nathan who later became Venus after the transformation.
The finale episode was full of tears, as acceptance and love arose from the scenes, where finally Venus is accepted and her relationship with Nathan and Rachel were already settled; most especially her relationship with her family.
