GMA Network, Inc. (Global Media Arts Network Incorporated) is one of the Philippines largest, leading entertainment and media broadcasting companies. It has been bringing joy and information for over 68 years now and, just recently, it is giving the audience a better version of the company as two of its subsidiaries rebranded, the newly renamed GMA Music and GMA Pictures.
The former GMA Records is now named GMA Music. It is a subsidiary that has engaged in the production, marketing, and distribution of music and concerts for Kapuso Artists. It started back in 1995 when it was first named Infiniti Music. Later in 2003, it was renamed GMA Records and, just recently, it was branded as GMA Music.

It is a member of PARI and has the distinction of having two Diamond Record awards in the highly competitive music scene. Some of the artists that are currently under its direction are stars Alden Richards and Bianca Umali.
GMA Pictures, which was formerly known as Cinemax Studios and GMA Films, is a film production company and a film studio that was established in 1995 by GMA Network Inc. Its films have gained both critical acclaim and commercial successes, among which are Jose Rizal, Muro Ami, and Deathrow.

The company had been in a hiatus twice. First was when Felipe Gozon took over GMA Network and the film production outfit was placed on hiatus for about 5 years(2000-2005). The second hiatus was to give way to parent GMA Network’s migration to digital TV. After being in a hiatus, again, for almost 3 years(2016-2018), GMA Films has announced its comeback plans for 2019 with the new name “GMA Pictures.”
As GMA Pictures makes a comeback, the phenomenal star Dawn Zulueta also returns to the Kapuso Network as she stars in the production company’s upcoming film ‘Family History’ that will be directed by Michael V. This film will also be under the Mic Test Entertainment banner. And together with Dawn in the cast are Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Paolo Contis, Ina Feleo, Kakai Bautista, Nikki Co, Mikoy Morales, and Nonie Buencamino.
A playdate for the upcoming film is yet to be announced.
