Every night, Filipino televiewers exercise their freedom to choose what network or show they feel to view and watch, and this affirms the effectiveness of this kind of entertainment platform.
ABS-CBN Network has dominated the primetime ratings survey for so long against it’s rival network’s primetime series lineup.
GMA Network is working hard in making their stories and shows more interesting, and not just to beat the ratings of its rival shows. However, gaining low ratings from viewers only means how ineffective their entertainment value is.
Dominating the prime time ratings has been hard for GMA Network to achieve, but the network is still on the go to prove that entertainment is anyone’s game.
This year has been smooth and in favor with the network that, finally, GMA Network dominated the primetime ratings survey against ABS-CBN.
Although ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ leads the primetime bloc by earning 15.4 percent viewership over ‘Kara Mia’ that earned 12.1%, yet most shows edged the rival ratings of ABS-CBN primetime shows based on the March 1 ratings released by NUTAM.
‘Wowowin’ earned 7.0% while ‘Minute to Win It’ earned 6.1 percent, ‘24 Oras’ earned 11.3% while ‘TV Patrol’ earned 9.9%, ‘Onanay’ earned 13.9% while ‘The General’s Daughter’ earned 11.9%, ‘Halik’ earned 10. 0 while ‘Toda One I Love’ got 9.9%.
Surely the executives, actors, and the whole entertainment team of GMA Network are flattered and motivated to do more quality shows, most especially in inspiring the Filipino viewers.
Although this not define how good the network is in doing shows, but this shows how the network meets expectations from time to time.
Thus, victory is not a stint that will stay forever, but rather a meal that can be shared.
