Kapamilya stars Gerald Anderson and Julia Barreto will be teaming up for the first time in the upcoming movie ‘Between Maybes.’ Having fresh and new love teams on the big screen seems to be the trend this year, after the release of ‘Ulan’ led by Carlo Aquino and Nadine Lustre last March 13, 2019, and the announcement of an upcoming movie with Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, all of whom have been in a love team before.
Gerald Anderson is no stranger when it comes to the silver screen, as he was hailed the “Prince of Philippine Movies and Television” twice and “Most Popular Love Team” thrice with former on-screen partner Kim Chiu, at the Guillermo Mendoza Box Office Awards.
Likewise, Julia Barreto has starred in other films as well. After her first movie ‘Para sa Hopeless Romantic’ which was released in 2015, Julia has starred in four other films, three were released in the same year which garnered for her the award as ‘Most Promising Movie Actress of the Year’ in 2017.
Based on a video clip posted by Black Sheep Productions on their twitter account, the movie will be about two lost souls who encounter each other in Japan.
With the current string of flops in Philippine cinema, Between Maybes must bring a different formula to the table to entice it’s viewers as more and more Filipino movie goers are preferring to watch Hollywood films rather than local romantic movies.
