- ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ queen of shade and Season 6 winner, and ‘Hurricane Bianca’ star Bianca del Rio will be performing in the Philippines on March 12 and 13
The famous drag queen who is known for her rapid-fire insults and razor-sharp wit will be making her debut in Manila with her self-entitled show, “Bianca Del Rio: It’s Jester Joke.”
Last Monday, Del Rio arrived in Manila from her Hong Kong stretch and was greeted by the local press.
The ‘clown in a gown’ spent a thirty-minute interview session with the media for them get to know Bianca better, while getting a huge doze of her hilarious wit and rapid-fire delivery of jokes.
When asked about what her Filipino fans can expect from the show, she said, “I always say, expect the unexpected. I do have a script that I go by but it depends on what happens when you’re there. You never know what you’re going to get. The more I drink, the funnier it is.”
Her material was called controversial according to the media, and the drag queen told them, “You can talk with anything, you don’t have to like it, but I can talk whatever I want! Even calling social media users as “Cultural Cancel people” that feel like “you can’t say it.”
She said, “I can say whatever I want, little girl. You don’t have to like it and that’s fine. Just like if I don’t like it, I don’t have to hear your opinion. We live in a world now where everyone has to be a social media warrior and they have to say “this is what I think, this is what I think needs to happen. You don’t like it, don’t watch it.”
There are other drag queens that hate her and her jokes but she doesn’t even care! She told the press to “live out their lives because you are really missing out on life if you’re worried about some other bitch looking like me.”
What makes her stand out from other drag comedians is her being on stage and literally having a conversation with the audience, laughing and making fun of themselves and everybody around them.
Bianca del Rio: “It’s Jester Joke” Live in Manila is happening on March 12 (sold out) and March 13, 2019 at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura Premier.
