- ABS-CBN’s trending loveteams are given separate projects for this year
- KathNiel, JaDine, and JoshLia are just some of the recent loveteams that are being teamed up in separate projects
- Fresh team-ups from ABS-CBN Network are being shown
ABS-CBN’s hottest love teams are taking a break this year, as they will be starring on different movie projects. ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema, Blacksheep Productions, and Viva Films are some of the production companies that encouraged loveteams to go on separate projects, for the ultimate reason of achieving individual growth and improvement.
Accordingly, these fresh onscreen pairings, and unexpected team-up, is a good start to have more breakthrough projects.
One of the most sought after loveteams is ‘KathNiel’ of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Lately, the two announced that they are not having any joined projects for this whole year, after agreeing to go on a journey for growth in their career. That is why Kathryn Bernardo is paired with Alden Richards for a big-screen project that is set to come out anytime this year.
The movie will be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina and produced by Star Cinema. Both stars are popularly known for being part of this country’s leading love teams, where Alden Richards is the other half of the “AlDub” team-up with Maine Mendoza.
Another breakaway love team is ‘JaDine’ of Nadine Lustre and James Reid. Nadine just had her debut movie with Carlo Aquino in ‘Ulan,‘ making this her first romance movie without her real- and reel-life partner. Ulan was directed by Irene Villamor for Viva Films.
It is a romance-drama about hopeless romantic Maya (Nadine), a young woman who, after getting her heart broken many times, unexpectedly meets Peter (Carlo), a young man who gives her new hope. James Reid also had his unusual tandem in 2018 with Sarah Geronimo in the movie ‘Miss Granny.’
Next is the tandem ‘JoshLia’ of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, where Julia, for the very first time, is set to team up with Gerald Anderson in an upcoming movie titled Between Maybes, a film that will be directed by Jason Paul Laxama under Black Sheep Productions.
It is a story of two people who have lost control of their own lives, where one is a famous actress and the other is the son of parents who was deported from Japan.
