- After her GMA drama series, ‘Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka,’ Yasmien Kurdi decided to take a break and focus on her studies
- Once she completed all her requirements, she will be graduating this coming April
- According to her, she feels pressured about the fact that, she’s doing a show that was set to air on a morning slot
Yasmien Kurdi plays the lead role in the GMA Network drama series, Hiram na Anak, written by Gina Marissa Tagasa and directed by Gil Tejada. Together with her are Dion Ignacio, Paolo Contis, Lauren Young, Empress Shuck, Rita Avila, Vaness del Moral, Sef Cadayona, Maey Bautista, and child star Leanne Bautista.
During the media conference, she shared her insights on how she feels about doing a drama series that will air in a morning slot. Yasmien shared:
“Pero ang isa ko pang ikinape-pressure ay dahil first time kong gagawa ng teleserye para sa morning slot. Mapapanood kami at 11:30 am, bago ang Eat Bulaga, starting on Monday, February 25.
Since her last GMA Network series, ‘Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka,’ she focused on her studies and stopped working for the time being. According to her, she wanted to finish her course in education. She said that she can’t say no when the project, ‘Hiram na Anak,’ was offered to her.

Meanwhile, after submitting her thesis and completing all her academic requirements, she will be graduating this coming April 6, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
