- ‘The General’s Daughter’ still tops the rating survey by Kantar Media
- Recent rate score of the hit series got lesser audience views but is still higher than its rival show
- Will ‘The General’s Daughter’ be soon out rated by ‘Onanay’?
According to Kantar Media Ratings, the Kapamilya network’s television series ‘The General’s Daughter’ has continuously hit the ratings game by having greater audience views when compared to its rival show, ‘Onanay,’ of GMA Network.
But last February 11, the views decreased, removing the 30’s digit rating that it started. Despite the decline, ‘The Generals Daughter’ still dominated audience viewership.
It seemeed that its rival series ‘Onanay’ can only slowly catch up and have its comeback on the charts.
The results were posted by the show’s producer, Dreamscape Entertainment, on its Instagram account where they extended its gratitude to everyone for continuous support.

It can be seen that in the national rating the series got 28.1% while its rival only got 15.2% audience views having a 13-point difference.
It can be remembered that ‘The Generals Daughter’ started strong, fully dominating ‘Onanay’ with a 20-point difference in the nationwide rating. Having a rate of 34% as against the 14% of its rival.
Does this sudden change of a 7-point decline in audience views trigger an alarm to ‘The Generals Daughter’ show? Has this implied that ‘Onanay’ can still be appealing and strong to netizens in the long run?
Meanwhile in NUTAM, ‘Onanay’ finally scored higher than ‘The General’s Daughter’ with 12.1% versus 11.7%.
On the said post, netizens, on the other hand, intriguingly blame the overtime of the show ‘Showtime’ in the primetime slot. The delay in the airing of the series may have hindered audiences from being able to watch the show on their free time. Here are some of their comments.
Whatever the reason may be behind the decrease in the audience views, both television series have their own unique stories to watch out for.
