Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Regal Films under the direction of Joel Ferrer offered its romantic-comedy film Elise which starred Enchong Dee and Janine Gutierrez.
It is based on real-life events. It tells the story of childhood friends Bert (Dee) and Elise (Gutierrez). Bert has always had feelings for Elise. After several years, fate will make their paths cross and the former will find himself rekindling the old feelings he had for his childhood sweetheart.

But sadly films that were just recently released did not hook the Netizens and Elise is one of those. Despite the promotions that the team made it didn’t quite make waves in the cinemas, Due to such poor reception, some theaters were forced to pull out its showing since it failed to draw the public to watch the reunion flick of Dee and Gutierrez.
Though saddened by what happened, both stars still encouraged people to watch the movie which is still screening in some cinemas.
