- Ronnie Ricketts still believes that action films will be supported by the moviegoers
- Recently, action themed TV series and films are rising again on the local entertainment scene
- Ronnie is open to accept a role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano wherein a lot of action stars had a big break
- He said that he’s open to the possibility provided that there’s a role that would match him
The action-star Ronnie Ricketts admitted that he’s a big fan of the ABS-CBN action themed series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” During his interview with PUSH, he was asked if there’s a possibility that he will have an appearance on the said show and he said: “Kung may role na ok, bakit hindi?,” aniya.
“Siguro tatlong beses na ako inaalok doon. Hindi lang talaga magka tugma-tugma ang role. Siguro kapag may maganda, bakit hindi?”
‘FPJ’s Probinsyano’ made a big break not just to the action genre on television as it brought back the lives of the career of many action stars with the likes of Eddie Garcia, Jerick Raval, Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, Mark Anthony Fernandez, and many more.
Not just for the big stars but also to some of the stuntmen and other people who used to work with action films.
The genre is slowly being accepted by the audiences as the action themed genre is making its comeback on television and in movies. That’s why Ronnie strongly believes that this is the right time to comeback on the big screen as they’re about to premier the action movie, “Exit Point.”
“Natutuwa ako dahil unang-una maganda ang suporta sa atin ng Muntinlupa. Isa pa, nagulat ako kay kapatid natin na si Robin Padilla, talagang una pa lang, all out na ang suporta niya sa akin. Kaya kapatid na Robin, mabuhay ka maraming maraming salamat.”

When PUSH asked him about his insights on the lack of support that they received from the moviegoers on watching action films, he said: “Kailangan buhayin natin. It’s just a matter of time na kailangan buhayin natin ang sigla ng action movies. So hopefully after “Bato,” “Exit Point” naman para tuloy-tuloy na. And may plano din kami ni Robin (Padilla) na gumawa ng pelikula, so lahat ‘yun pina-plano natin ngayon.”
“Exit Point”, a film written and directed by Ronnie Ricketts, premieres on February 20 in cinemas.
