Dancing is a medium through which we show the world who we truly are and who we can be. It is an art; a way to express one’s self as it is also a medium to showcase our emotions.
One of Philippine’s great dance groups is ‘Addlib,’ that wa s founded in 2008 by Jose Abunda. There were known as the choreographer to the stars, the powerhouse crew of multi-talented individuals that excelled in different forms of dance and performance art.
The group, since 2008, has already achieved a lot of highlights in their career, with one of them winning the 10th place in the 2012 World Supremacy Battlegrounds held in Sydney, Australia, and also becoming one of the semi-finalists at the 2013 World Hiphop Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Everything was achieved by ‘Addlib’ with no financial support. Yet in the end, they were able to make it with their sheer passion in dancing. With a fuse of Jazz, contemporary, hip hop and other dance styles, the group immediately became a powerhouse dance crew among the dance competition circuits as well as underground performances around the metro.
‘Addlib’ then started being part of GMA network’s variety shows. It was in ‘Party Pilipinas’ that the group first had its exposure on ‘Sunday All Stars.’ The group then used the platform to showcase more of their talent by dancing off with the celebrities.
And just recently, the crew joined ABS-CBN’s newest dance competition, ‘World of Dance Philippines’, which is dubbed as “the biggest dance competition in the world.” It is a reality competition series based on the similarly-named American reality competition. The show will feature dance performers, including solo acts and larger groups, representing any style of dance.

Addlib then showed off confidence and swag in their team performance that judges Maja Salvador, Billy Crawford, and Gary Valenciano cannot shake off the fact at how great they were in their craft.
“I’m so happy to see you here, shining, na kayo mismo ang kumikinang,” Billy told the group.
“Talagang intense ang mga performances nila, ang execution nila ay malinis, pulido, kahit gaano ka-wild, pati ‘yung impact sa tao, nakuha niyo talaga,” Gary added.
In the competition, they received an average score of 87. It was known that the crew also had performed with both Crawford and Valenciano before.
