- ‘Onanay’ is now leading among GMA Network shows
- With intense scenes, ‘Onanay’ was able to pull more viewers than ‘The General’s Daughter’
- Will this be the start of the downfall of the newly-premiered series topbilled by Angel Locsin?
‘Onanay’ is getting stronger in terms of viewership according to NUTAM, GMA Network’s TV ratings provider.
After being tied with ‘The General’s Daughter’ last February 7, GMA Network’s primetime series ‘Onanay’ finally scored higher than its rival show. According to NUTAM on Monday (February 11), the series, topbilled by Jo Berry, got a rating of 12.1%, 0.4% higher than ‘The General’s Daughter’s’ 11.7%.
“Walang malaking kalaban sa pusong palaban,” says the show’s banner.
Meanwhile on Kantar Media, ‘The General’s Daughter’ has a significant drop last Monday. Based on the ratings posted by the verified Dreamscape PH Instagram account, the show led by Angel Locsin is now down to 28.1% from enjoying 30s in the previous weeks.

In ‘Onanay’ last Monday, Maila (Mikee Quintos) and Lucas (Wendell Ramos) went to Helena’s (Cherie Gil) house to find out if she’s really involved to what happened to Onay (Jo Berry). As expected, Helena denies it. But Natalie overheard her dirty secret while talking to Lando (Orlando Sol) over the phone.
That was a big revelation!
With intense scenes coming from the veteran and actors, ‘Onanay’ is pulling more viewers than its rival show ‘The General’s Daughter.’ Starting last August 6, 2018, ‘Onanay’ has already received numerous extensions due to high ratings. From rival shows with different genres ‘Bagani,’ ‘Ngayon at Kailanman,’ and now ‘The General’s Daughter,’ ‘Onanay’ proved that a family drama is still the top genre of choice of Pinoy viewers nationwide.
Will this be the start of ‘The General’s Daughter’s’ downfall?
