- EA Guzman is back with the GMA network
- He signed his co-management contract with GMA Artist Center and the ALV Talent Circuit
- He got his start in showbiz when he competed and won in Eat Bulaga’s ‘Mr. Pogi’ in 2006
Edgar Allan Guzman, also known by his nickname E.A. Guzman, gained popularity after he became Mr. Pogi 2006 of ‘Eat Bulaga!.’ EA has been with different networks since his success in the competition. After winning the title he stayed with GMA for almost 3 years from 2006-2008. After establishing his career, he then transferred to TV 5, known as the Kapatid network from 2010-2014. He then transferred to it’s rival network ABS-CBN and became one of the Star Magic talents for almost 4 years from 2014-2017. In years 2017-2018, he had roles in both the Kapamilya and Kapuso networks.
His first show in Kapuso network was ‘Daisy Siete,’ which was starred in by the Sexbomb dancers. In TV 5, it was drama anthology ‘5 Star Specials’, and in the Kapamilya network it was ‘Habang May Buhay,’ which was directed by the late Wenn V. Deramas and starred in by Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes.
It is obvious that EA, being through different stations, has helped him grow as an actor while having to work with various artists.
And last January 31, EA is officially back on the Kapuso network as he signed his co-management contract with GMA Artist Center and the ALV Talent Circuit.

EA can’t help but reminisce how he got his spot in the showbiz industry, that is when he competed and won in ‘Eat Bulaga’s’ ‘Mr. Pogi’ back in 2006. He expressed this in an interview with the press.
“Dito talaga sa Kapuso [ako nagsimula] pero ‘nung time na ‘iyon, wala akong contract with GMA and Artist Center pero this time, meron na and I’m proud to say na Kapuso ako.”
Other shows that his been with GMA Network are the ‘The Stepdaughters’ and ‘My Korean Jagiya’ with the latter being one of his biggest breaks to date.
EA also added that he dreams of sharing scenes with some Kapuso leading ladies such as Kris Bernal, Sanya Lopez, Kyline Alcantara, Jennylyn Mercado, and Maine Mendoza. As for dream roles, he wants to portray a character of Ken Chan as Boyet of ‘My Special Tatay.’ He greatly wished that he will be able to do roles that he has not done before, something that would challenge him.

Watch for EA Guzman as he is set to appear as one of the stars in the upcoming Kapuso network TV drama-romance series, ‘Dragon Lady,’ directed by Paul Sta. Ana. Together with him are stars Janine Gutierrez and Tom Rodriguez. It is set to premiere in 2019 on the network’s Afternoon Prime line up.
