Maymay Entrata recently responded to the speculation that she’s portraying the life story of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray in a Maalaala Mo Kaya episode. She said: “Malabo talaga, kasi mahaba ‘yung preparations, training.”
Speculations has been circulating that Maymay will be portraying Catriona in a ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ episode, as the Miss Universe mentioned in her past interview that she would love Maymay to star in her ‘MMK’ episode.
She said during her interview with PUSH that aside from the fashion show, Maymay portrayed Catriona in a special VTR prepared for the beauty queen at the event.
“Sobrang malaking opportunity para sa akin. Sobrang sarap sa feeling dahil pinagkatiwalaan akong mag-opening sa show na ito tapos mga kasama ko beauty queens. Nagtatanong pa nga ako kung kailangan kong maging beauty queen [when walking]. Pero hindi naman pala kailangan, just be me. At dahil pinili nila akong mag-opening dahil ako ‘yung gumanap sa VTR, mas binigyan nila ako ng pagkakataong mas makilala si Catriona at sobrang na-inspire ako. Kahit kinakabahan ako, ginalingan ko talaga para sa kanya.”
On February 24, Maymay Entrata sasshayed in the opening of the fashion show, Raise Your Flag for Catriona, the homecoming event. She was wearing Mak Tumang’s creation during her catwalk, together with the Philippines’ well-loved beauty queens, including Miss Universe 2018 herself.
