21-year-old Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano finally met her 22-year-old Filipino-Portugese half brother John. According to Liza’s manager, Ogie Diaz, John is Liza’s half brother from her father.
On February 19, Ogie Diaz shared snapshots of the sibling’s bonding moments in his Facebook account, letting the netizens guess who Liza was with in the photo. He then followed this with an introduction of the guy that was later announced to be her brother.
He posted, “Hulaan nyo kung sino yang katabi ni Liza Soberano?”
“Siya si John, 22yo. Ang mother niya Portuguese. Ang daddy naman niya ay Filipino. Matangkad na bata, mga 6 or 6’1 ang height. Si Liza ay 5’7.”
“Kauuwi lang dito ni John sa request na rin ng ama niya na pinagkuhaan niya ng pangalan.”
“Si John ay half brother ni Liza sa ama,” he revealed.
Accordingly, the last time Liza’s dad saw her brother was when he was only six months old.
“Tuwang-tuwa si Daddy John, dahil when he left the US, huling kita niya kay younger John ay 6 months old pa. Kaya ang ama ay ninanamnam ang presensiya ng anak bago ito lumipad sa US in April.”
Also after meeting up, half-siblings Liza and John instantly became close to each other. “Andito si John para makapiling si Liza at ang pamilya nito. Close na close na agad ang dalawa.”
Ogie also added that John already met and bonded with Enrique Gil; also stating that the two became very close as well.
“Actually, na-meet na rin John si Enrique Gil at tingin ko kahapon sa tsikahan nila ay close na din sila.”

Liza’s parents got separated and both already got different partners and built families with their respective partners. This makes Liza not the only child of her parents. She’s got other half-siblings from both sides of her mother and father. Some of her other siblings are Kaycee Logan Nguyen, Justin Soberano, Leilano Osorno, Nathaniel Larry Osorno, Dustin Nguyen, and Jaden Nguyen.
