‘Pinoy Big Brother’ has been running for many years now, and known as one of ABS-CBN’s reality shows. This season, ‘PBB OTSO’ received allegations from netizen that scenes on some episodes were scripted and not genuine and true.
One of PBB’s recent evictee, Tori Garcia, said that PBB Otso is not scripted.
During their Romatic Ball inside Kuya’s house, PBB housemates Lou Yanong and Andre Brouillette confessed that they both have feelings for each other.
In an interview, evictee Tori shared her experiences inside the PBB House.
PBB offers live streaming on its Facebook Page. Tori chatted with an ex-housemate from former season PBB 737, Dawn Chang, on the February 19 episode of PBB Otso. They both spent time reading and reviewing some feedback from netizens and someone commented “scripted.” Tori Responded that PBB is not scripted.
She emphasized the case of Lou Yanong and Andre Brouillette, two housemates who have developed feelings for each other while inside the PBB house.
Tori said, “LouDre is real po talaga, promise,” as she witnessed the budding romance of both inside the house.
She shared that when Andre asked her if Lou also had feelings for him, Tori encouraged him to pursue with what he feels. “Hindi ko naman tinuruan si Andre kung anong sasabihin. Sinabi ko lang na, ‘Go!'”
Dawn also pointed out there has not been any housemate who can say that reality show is scripted. It would be hard for any housemate to follow any script.
She left a comment in the livestream saying, “Try n’yo.”
This was also defended and cleared by Direk Lauren Dyogi. In his vlog on Youtube, he said, “Sa mga nagsasabing scripted ang PBB, it’s an unfair statement.”
Even they do not give any attention to this no-basis issue, its still unfair because netizens cannot appreciate the hard work of the people behind the camera.
“Pero masakit din ‘yong mga comments and I think a lot of the comments, a lot of them are unfair. Hindi minsan nakikita ‘yong oras behind the scenes bago mag-audition, ‘yong oras at ‘yong energy at ‘yong effort na inuukol ng mga tao namin,” he ended.
Sometimes we do not have the gesture of appreciation because we are blinded by negative biases from people around us and the net. We always seek to understand just the outcome but not the process.
