‘Eat Bulaga,’ the longest running noon time show on TV, renewed its contract with the GMA Network. An Instagram post of Rams David showed the contract signing of the show to the network.
“And we are very comfortable with them at ako ay talagang hangang-hanga dito sa grupo ng Eat Bulaga na walang kupas talaga kaya matagal pa yan. Ang tandem nila Tito, Vic at Joey tsaka ‘yung mga susunod palagay ko mahaba pa yan,” said Atty. Felipe Gozon after the contract signing.
It was actually ‘Eat Bulaga’s’ 24th year with GMA Network since the ‘Eat… Bulaga!: The Moving!’ in 1995, where they left ABS-CBN for the former studio wanted to buy the airing rights of ‘Eat Bulaga!’ from TAPE, Inc.
In February 1, 2019, ‘Eat Bulaga!’ renewed its contract with GMA Network, in time for the show’s 40th anniversary on noontime television and its 24th year on their home network.

It was recalled that ‘Eat Bulaga’ used to broadcast from different networks in the past. The show premiered its live episode from RPN Live Studio 1 in Broadcast City on July 30, 1979 with main hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, along with Chiqui Hollman and Richie Reyes (a.k.a. Richie d’ Horsie), as original hosts. Due to problems brought by the sequestration of RPN, ‘Eat…Bulaga!’ moved to ABS-CBN under a co-production agreement with T.A.P.E. Inc.
From Broadway Centrum, Eat Bulaga! transferred to their new state-of-the-art studio, the APT Studios, located in Cainta, Rizal, last December 8, 2018, a few months before the 40th anniversary celebration of the longest-running variety show come July 2019.
