John Estrada and Carmina Villaroel will play the role Kara and Mia’s parents in the upcoming GMA Telebabad show ‘Kara Mia,’ starring Mika Dela Cruz and Barbie Forteza that will premier on Monday, February 18.
It can be recalled that both actors had some issues during their 90’s ABS-CBN show, ‘Palibhasa Lalake’ due to Villaroel’s former husband who already died and has risen to be Bb Gandanghari after ‘Pinoy Big Brother.’
During the media conference of ‘Kara Mia’, John was seated beside Carmina.

“First time naming magsama ni John after Palibhasa (Lalaki). Parang ten years old lang ako nu’n, hahaha! Nu’ng una, medyo nailang ako nang slight. Nu’ng una lang. But habang second day, third day, parang Kuya! Kuya naman, ’di ba? Mas matanda ka nang slight,” said Villaroel.
Estrada on the other hand expressed his thoughts on working with her former co-star in Palibahasa Lalake, “Of course excited dahil nga natagalan kaming nagsama. I think ’96 or ’97. That time, maraming nangyari. Nag-asawa siya, ako, nag-asawa uli. Oo nga nag-asawa siya uli! Sobrang excited ako nang sinabi sa akin na makakatrabaho ko si Carmina. Hindi ko na naisip ang talent fee. Hahaha! Of course, ang matagal ko nang kumare (si Glydel Mercado). Kaibigan ko si Ton (Gutierez). Ibang-iba ang character ko.”

He was also asked if his friend Derek Ramsay, will transfer to GMA Network. He just pointed to Arne the network’s executives and he said: “Malapit na yata! ’Yan ang mga boss, hahaha!”
