The show previously had a press conference for their upcoming series, and it was revealed that it will be facing off with Kapamilya Network’s long-running action series ‘Ang Probinsyano.’
The cast was then asked about their thoughts on having to compete with their rival show, which is consistently known to top in the ratings game.
According to Carmina Villaroel, one of the cast members who will be portraying Kara and Mia’s mother, that she and the rest of the team do not stress about having to compete with their rival series on the after-news timeslot.
“Ayaw kasi naming ilagay sa isip namin na, o, gagawin natin ‘to, itatapat natin ‘to, kailangan talunin natin kasi kung hindi ise-stress lang namin sarili namin,” Carmina said.
“Every new show, may pressure naman but it’s only up to us kung magpapa-pressure kami.”
She also asked critics not to dismiss it and give their show a chance for they will surely give a unique taste in the primetime slot which is very different from the usual heavy-action show of ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.’
“Bigyan lang kami ng pagkakataon. We just want to give viewers some options,” the actress said.
“It’s either mag-adobo ka or mag-sinigang ka. ‘Yon lang naman ‘yon e. I’m sure both networks naman ang iniisip lang nila ‘yong viewers palagi. So let’s just give them what they want. Let’s give them something new. Bigyan lang sana kami ng chance kasi alam namin na hindi kami mapapahiya sa ginagawa namin. Nakikita niyo naman kasi, kakaiba talaga. It’s really something different. Pag una akala mo it’s freaky pero pag pinanood mo, binigyan mo ng chance, ay ang cute naman pala.”
Carmina also added that all of the cast are very grateful and pleased for the netizens and fans support, especially to those who made the memes which created a buzz online before the series even started.
She hopes that these memes are a good sign that viewers’ curiosity will drive them to like the show.

“Nong nakita namin ‘yong mga memes, ‘yong mga ginagaya kami, thankful kami kasi inaabala nila! Sa kanila nga walang effects, e, dalawang tao talaga ‘yong napapanood sa Facebook. So sabi ko itong mga batang ‘to nakakatuwa kasi ine-effort nila ‘yong pag-gaya kina Barbie and Mika. Sana hindi lang sa ganito, sana tangkilikin nila ‘yong show kasi maku-cute-an talaga sila. We don’t have super high expectations. But the mere fact na meron kaming memes na ginagaya [kami], we’re very thankful na. Do’n pa lang, thankful na thankful na kami.”
