GMA Network’s ‘Cain at Abel’ of Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo is nearing its final chapters in the primetime show block. Going back, the series was premiered last November 19, 2018 on the network’s Telebabad line up replacing ‘Victor Magtanggol.’ It is a drama-action series directed by Mark A. Reyes.
The story is about two brothers, Daniel and Miguel, who grew up in different worlds as they were separated when they were still kids. Daniel was raised in the city by his father, while Miguel, was taken by his mother and relocated to a fishing village where they struggled. Years later, the brothers are drawn together by their parents.
The series got a total of 54 episodes as of this day and the remaining days are already counted as it is nearing its end. And soon it will be succeeded by ‘Kara-Mia,’ which will be starred in by Barbie Forteza and Mika dela Cruz.
The TV series cannot deny the fact that it is getting lower ratings compared to rival show, FPJ’s ang Probinsyano.
The cast previously expressed their opinion on going against their rival from the other network.
Dingdong Dantes: “Siguro we all agree na ‘yung show na yun is in a league of its own. And wala naman kami rito para makipag-kumpetensiya kanino man.
‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ continues to be the leader in the ratings game nationwide, according to Kantar Media. For more than three years, the Coco Martin-starrer was able to beat 11 Kapuso shows which include ‘Cain at Abel,’ ‘Victor Magtanggol,’ and the weakest of them all, ‘The Cure.’

Let us see if the succeeding series, ‘Kara-Mia,’ will be able to beat Kapamilya’s highest rating TV show.
