Love teams have become a staple in the entertainment industry. Before the rising tandems of the present time, there were various loveteams in the past that made us swoon on and off the screen.
And one of these pairings was that of Claudine Barretto and the late Rico Yan; who were touted as ‘the perfect couple that will always remain in the memory of popular culture forever.’
Barretto and Yan starred in numerous movies and TV shows. Together, they topbilled memorable projects such as ‘Flames: the Movie,’ ‘Mula sa Puso,’ ‘Saan ka Man Naroroon,’ ‘Dahil Mahal na Mahal kita,’ and their last movie before Yan’s death, ‘Got 2 Believe,’ which seems to be the most-loved and well remembered.
They were on top of the love team game back in the day. Today, Rita Daniela and Ken Chan of ‘My Special Tatay’ have surprisingly taken that same spot after effectively capturing the hearts of their viewers.
This was proven when a collage photo of the love teams where posted in a twitter fan page account last January 26, 2019 showing the two tandem’s striking facial similarities after capturing a scene in “My Special Tatay” that re-lived lines from the movie “Got to Believe in Magic” of Claudine and Rico that goes something like this:
Clau/Rit: Bigyan mo ko ng sagot ng hindi galing diyan kundi galing dito (puso)! Bakit mo ko mahal?
Rico/Ken: Hindi ko alam.
Clau/Rit: Hindi mo alam?

Ken Chan was actually previously compared with Rico Yan after viewers noticed their physical similarity. And Ken was actually aware of this for many had already told him about his likeness with the late Rico. He also added that the late actor has been his long time idol back when he was still 8 years old and that it could have been fun to work with him, if he were still around.
