“The death of Philippine Cinema started when the malls monopolized film distribution. When SM decided not to screen for mature audiences, for me, that was the nail in the coffin.”
He also blames the senior gatekeepers in the industry for doing the wrong decisions in the past.
“Our ‘senior gatekeepers’ in the industry allowed this to happen. What’s happening now is we’re suffering the consequences. It was bound to die. Hopefully, it’s a slow death.”
At the end of his post, he stressed that what we need in the current situation is a miracle to cure the situation.
“Or some kind of miracle happens.
A miracle that will control, if not eliminate, all our greed.”
