Warner Bros. Animation is proud to present the next installment in the hit animated franchise, ‘The Lego Movie 2.’ The film is a direct sequel to ‘The Lego Movie’ (2014), and the fourth film in the franchise, following the two spin-offs,’ The Lego Batman Movie’ and ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’ (both released in 2017).
It is directed by Mike Mitchell, written and produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and stars Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, Charlie Day, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, and Maya Rudolph. The film is currently playing in cinemas nationwide.

10. Continuation of the franchise.
The film is a direct sequel to The Lego Movie (2014), and marks as the fourth film in the franchise, following the two spin-offs, “The Lego Batman Movie” and “The Lego Ninjago Movie” (both 2017). The franchise is based on the highly successful and beloved Lego line of construction toys.
9. Talented team behind the film.
The creative minds behind 2014’s “The Lego Movie” returns in this sequel, led by the writers and directors of the first film, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (who brought us “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” (2009), “21 Jump Street” (2012) and its sequel) as returning producers and writers. Producers Dan Lin (producer of “It: Chapter One,” “Sherlock Holmes,” and the upcoming “Aladdin,” “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” and “It: Chapter Two”) and Roy Lee (producer of “The Ring,” “The Grudge,” “The Strangers,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” “The Disaster Artist”) also return for the sequel.
8. The Witty Screenplay.
Phil Lord Christopher Miller wrote the screenplay for the sequel just like the first movie. As expected, there are numerous self-referential jokes thrown into the film, with nods to Marvel, DC, and other trademark characters.
7. Soundtrack that will get stuck in your head.
Just like the first film, ‘The Lego Movie 2‘ features some really cool tunes that will surely get stuck in your head, like the catchy song from Dillon Francis featuring T-Pain & That Girl Lay Lay.
6. The lessons to be learned.
Just like the first film, this sequel is imbued with many lessons for kids. It will teach younger viewers of loving people for who they are and not just who they think they should be. The film also tackles themes of friendship, perseverance, cooperation, and teamwork.
5. Colorful animation.
Animal Logic (the team behind the films ‘Happy Feet’ and ‘Peter Rabbit’), who provided the animation for all the films in the franchise, returned for this sequel. And just like the previous films in the Lego Movie franchise, the film is a visual spectacle of vibrant characters and colorful worlds.

The film features some cameos from A-list Hollywood celebrities like Channing Tatum as Superman, Jonah Hill as Green Lantern, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, and even Bruce Willis as himself.
2. Features an all-star voice cast.
Chris Pratt reprises his role from the first film as Emmet Brickowsk. He is also voicing a new character named Rex Dangervest, self-declared galaxy-defending archaeologist, cowboy and raptor trainer.
The film sees the return of it’s original cast members led by Elizabeth Banks as Lucy / Wyldstyle, Will Arnett as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Charlie Day as Benny, Alison Brie as Princess Unikitty, Nick Offerman as MetalBeard, and Will Ferrell as: President Business / Lord Business. They are joined by newcomers Tiffany Haddish as Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, Stephanie Beatriz as General Sweet Mayhem and Maya Rudolph as Mom, the bringer of “Our-Mom-Ageddon”.
1. Story full of twists and turns.
The film reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are now facing a huge new threat: invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than it can be rebuilt.
The battle to defeat the invaders and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman, and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity, and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.
