Marco Gumabao and Janella Salvador had a trending video on social media that suggests they are allegedly dating. This happened a few weeks after the ElNella incident.

Salvador explained that Gumabao is just her good friend. Marco remained mum regarding the issue until the recent interview in Tonight with Boy Abunda where he had a chance to speak up.
When asked what were they doing that night, Marco explained, “A lot of people assume na we were dating and magkaka-grupo kami. I was with my cousin. Also, si Barbie Imperial. We were one group.
“Ang daming tao na nagba-bash sa akin saying na ahas daw ako. Inabangan ko daw si Janella from Elmo (Magalona).”
Marco added that he even went to Elmo to personally explain the trending video.
“I actually talked to Elmo nung Christmas Special. Sabi ko, ‘Bro I’m coming up to you now to say na walang nangyayari sa amin ni Janella.
“Walang nangyayari, walang nangyari at walang mangyayari.’”
According to him, Elmo replied, “Bro, you know I appreciate you coming up to me. Kung sino man yung gumawa nung issue na yun… you know what, I don’t have any bad blood against anyone.”

Marco then stressed out that he and Janella are just good friends, but was not able to deny one thing:
“We were holding hands naman, yes,” he said.
“It’s so hard to explain kasi for us we were just friends.
“I never told her that I liked her. She never told me na she liked me. Nung lumabas yung picture, nagulat kami na everyone’s saying na we’re dating.
“We took a step back.”
Marco Gumabao shared that because of that viral video, and misconception from the netizens, he and Janella Salvador are no longer hanging out like they used to.
“From that point kasi we were starting pa lang to know each other. Nung lumabas yung video… people were assuming na agad na we were dating. Parang, wait lang,” he ended.
