Angel Jones, Tony Labrusca‘s mother, reacted to the rumors questioning his sexuality. Labrusca got inolved in a controversy where he shouted and cursed at an Immigration Officer at NAIA Terminal 1 on Thursday, January 3. Netizens and fellow Immigration Officers witnessed it and posted it on all social media platforms.

In a Twitter post, Jones pointed out that underdog stories usually end happily. She expressed her dismay with the misinformed stories being spread.

Labrusca’s PR man, Chris Cahilig, revealed that Tony was actually with fellow ABS-CBN star, Alexander Diaz. Since they were together, Alex has been posting his version of what happened in the airport and how Tony is handling it.

Tony apologizes through an official statement.
Labrusca released an official statement about the incident.
“I am deeply sorry for my reaction…”
“I admit I was a bit frustrated and that I asked why I was only given 30 days to stay in the country this time. I was unaware of the policy that because I was not with my mother, I did not qualify for a Balikbayan stamp. It was very upsetting for me. And I’m sorry that I somehow took my frustrations out on the Officer.”
“But never did I ever call anyone stupid, nor an idiot much less brag about being a celebrity… My biggest mistake perhaps was letting my emotions get the better of me and again I’m sorry.”
