In an earlier report, it was rumored that Chavit Singson was to own the Miss Universe franchise. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray came back to Manila, Philippines on Wednesday, December 19.
The former Ilocos Sur governor accompanied her which sparked the rumors.
BPCI says Miss Universe still with them.
Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BCPI) chairperson Stella Araneta dismissed the rumors and told reporters that they are still working with the organization on Thursday, January 3.

Chavit says Korea will be Miss Universe’s next location.
According to Singson, the Miss Universe 2019 pageant will be held in South Korea. In an interview with DZMM, he claimed that he helped the Miss Universe Organization to secure the venue for next year’s pageant.
