Jasmine stars in Sahaya.
This served as Jasmine’s second show with the said network. She used to star in GMA Network’s Pamilya Roces which aired from October to December 2018.
Sahaya is under the direction of indie filmmaker Zig Dulay who already directed several Kapuso shows such as Sa Puso Ni Dok in 2014, Dangwa in 2015 and Sirkus in 2018.
GMA Network features Sahaya.
Bianca portrays the titular role of Sahaya, a Badjao girl who struggles in life but will never forget the tradition and culture of her heritage. Miguel will also star in the series along with StarStruck alumnus Migo Adecer.
Badjaos are widely known as “Sea Gypsies” of Sulu and Celebes Seas. They make their livelihood solely on the sea as expert fishermen, deap sea divers and navigators. Sahaya is a Badjao term for light.
In the trailer, Sahaya (Bianca) sat on a boat with another fellow Badjao (Miguel). She jumped off the boat and into the deep sea. She, however, didn’t expect that she was trapped by a glass blocking her way.
Beyond the glass, another boy (Migo) looked at her sadly as she struggles against the barrier. Sahaya‘s airing date has yet to be announced.
