- Jasmine Curtis-Smith’s first teleserye with GMA Network was the prime-time comedy series, “Pamilya Roces,” which ran from October to December 2018
- “Sahaya” serves as Jasmine’s second show with the Kapuso network
Jasmine Curtis-Smith was given another project by GMA Network a month after her first Kapuso series “Pamilya Roces” concluded. She will be joining the follow-up series, after the success of “Kambal, Karibal” of Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, known as the BiGuel love team.
“Sahaya” tackles the inspiring story of a Badjao girl who triumphed despite all of life’s challenges. Throughout her journey, Sahaya remains true to her culture and beliefs as a Badjao, even defying the power of love.
The “24 Oras” report of Lhar Santiago revealed that Jasmine at 24 will be playing the role of Sahaya’s (Bianca, 18) mother in the series.
“Exciting definitely kasi you really have to be specific sa mga information or facts na ibibigay natin sa story at kung paano ko siya ipoportray,” Jasmine told Lhar during the interview.
Under the direction of indie filmmaker Zig Dulay, “Sahaya” is slated for airing this first quarter of 2019.
