- GMA and ABS-CBN have 3 and 6 upcoming series in 2019, respectively
- GMA will air TODA One I Love, Kara Mia, and Sahaya
- ABS-CBN will launch Iron Heart, Magica Blanca, Nang Ngumiti ang Langit, Take Life, Ligaya, and the untitled Velasquez-Alcasid sitcom
As 2018 draws to a close, the rival networks are also on the move to start the new year with a bang. This coming 2019, GMA and ABS-CBN are preparing for the newest series that everyone should look out for.
The Kapuso network is looking to launch two primetime series in 2019 namely TODA One I Love, Kara Mia and Sahaya.
Barbie Forteza and Mika Dela Cruz will be the lead characters for Kara Mia. The story is about a girl with two faces. Barbie on one side and Mika on the other.
GMA News and Public Affairs will be the one presenting the political series TODA One I Love which will star Kylie Padilla, Ruru Madrid, and David Licauco.
This will also act like a reunion project for the Ruru-Kylie loveteam which the fans have been dreaming for years.
Sahaya will be played by Bianca Umali which she will portray the life of a badjao, a sea nomad. Her love interests will be Miguel Tanfelix and Migo Adecer.
Meanwhile, the rival ABS-CBN is working on launching, not just three, but six matchup series against the GMA Network shows.
The shows include “Iron Heart” which will feature Bea Alonzo and Richard Gutierrez, “Mea Culpa” starring Jodi Sta. Maria, and “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit” with child actress Sophia Reola.
Meanwhile, the much awaited return of Angel Locsin on Primetime Bida will finally happen this January via “My General’s Daughter.”

This should be an exciting year for the Philippine television. ABS-CBN and GMA Network have not officially announced the premiere dates of these series yet.
