- CK Kieron fights for his surname in ‘Ipaglaban Mo’
- Grows up with a lie and carries a different surname
Charles “CK” Kieron plays a child denied of his true father’s surname in this Saturday’s (January 12) “Ipaglaban Mo.”
Zander (CK) was a baby when his parent’s marriage abruptly comes to an end when his father, Harry (James Blanco), discovers that the former’s mother, Jessica (Desiree Del Valle), has previously been married and that it has not been annulled.
The court then declares the couple’s marriage “null and void” and grants CK’s father visitation rights, which his mother, Jessica does not allow. Harry is then left with no choice but to fight for his rights in court, including to give his son his surname.
When Zander reaches puberty, he reconnects with his father but becomes embroiled in his parents’ conflict. He goes against the wishes of his mother and slowly bonds with the father he yearns for while growing up.
Will the court grant Harry’s wish to give his surname to his son? How much does a surname matter to a son longing for his true father?
