- Some Netizens didn’t like the re-casting of Barbs in Born Beautiful.
- Martin del Rosario replaced Christian Bables for the said role.
- When a Netizen complained about the re-casting, Christian explained his side and why he wasn’t a part of the movie.
Born Beautiful‘s trailer was recently released to the public. It featured Martin del Rosario as Barbs after Christian Bables was removed as a part of the movie.
Some Netizens, however, didn’t like the re-casting. Born Beautiful is the sequel to the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Die Beautiful.
Netizen lamented over Born Beautiful re-casting.
A Netizen with the handle, @psychokenetics, expressed that Bables will remain Barbs to him.
“Sorry, but Christian Bables will always be Barbs to me.
“He deserves to reprise that character. I have no doubt with the acting skills of the new actor, but let us not forget the cracks “they” have maligned.”

Christian replied.
Bables greeted @psychokenetics and expressed his gratitude for the love and support.
“Hello, @psychokenetics ! I am really overwhelmed with the love, support and the trust you have for whatever it is that i can do. I appreciate it a lot. But i guess somethings are not meant to be ours or not meant to happen. Si God na bahala sa lahat.”

Christian explained.
Bables noted that there were misunderstandings around him that he just doesn’t want to be a part of.
“I guess walang may gusto ng mga nangyari. I’ll explain it again, because i felt i owe you an explanation, hindi nagkaintindihan ang mga tao sa paligid ko who are behind this wonderful project. And it’s normal. Mga tao lang sila. I was totally out of their misunderstandings.”

Christian admitted his wrong.
Bables revealed that he didn’t wait for the resolution.
“Ang mali ko, nag hintay ako na maayos sila. Hindi ko nasabi kung gaano ko kagusto yung project. Hindi ko naipaglaban yung gusto ko, dahil iniisip ko na magkakaayos din sila bandang huli. Pasasaan ba, at matutuloy din ang project. Pero ayun nga, hindi ayun ang nangyari.

“Kahit gaano ko kaipinag dasal at pinaghandaan, kung hindi para sayo, hindi ibibigay sayo ni God. May mga magaganda Siyang plans for me and for the project kaya naging ganito. And i choose to trust His plans and process”

Bables, then, invited @psychokenetics to watch Signal Rock if he missed his craft.
“If you miss watching me do the craft, i really really hope you could watch Signal Rock, directed by Chito Roño. I promise to give you a whole new different character. Pinaghandaan, minahal, pinaghusayan. Sana mapanood mo. Madaming madaming salamat!”
