- ABS-CBN Executive Olivia Lamasan talks about the future of Darna
- She said that they are still looking forward to a three-movie franchise
- For now, they will first focus on finishing the first movie since it has been long delayed
Liza Soberano’s solo movie Darna is one of the most anticipated Kapamilya movies in 2019, that is, of course, the project will never be delayed again.
The movie’s former director Erik Matti envisions Darna as a trilogy. Now that he gave up the position and someone else is a handling the movie, will the production still push through with the three-part franchise.
ABS-CBN’s Head of Creative Department Olivia Lamasan was asked to about the said concern and she answered, “You mean, parang three parts? Ah, yes. Yes. Pero let’s see what happens to the first.
“So, let’s all hope that it does well, that it succeeds. Suportahan ang sariling atin.
“We’re all excited about that. For next year, siyempre nakatingin pa rin tayo sa ‘Darna’. Lilipad na siya.”
But, before Darna, Liza will be shooting the still untitled LizQuen movie by Black Sheep Productions.
According to the ABS-CBN Executive, the movie is already confirmed.
“Yes,” confirms Ms. Olivia, “directed by Antoinette Jadaone under Black Sheep.
“We’re expecting something different because under Black Sheep siya.”
Enrique Gil is currently in America to celebrate Christmas with his family while Liza Soberano is recovering from a minor finger surgery.
