ABS-CBN Creative Department Head Olivia Lamasan and Black Sheep head Kriz Gazmen attended the 2018 Singapore Media Fest. They noted that they wanted Philippine films to go global.
They revealed that they wanted to showcase Filipino talent around the world.

Gazmen disclosed that global could be a new direction they wanted to head to.
“Kaya rin kami nandito [Singapore], we’re still going to do films for the Philippine market but the plan really is to go global. That’s the new direction we’re heading to…”
Kriz shared that they wanted to do movies for everyone aside for the Filipino market.
“We really want to do films, not just for the Filipino market but we want something that will showcase Filipino talent around the world.”
Filipino and international viewers maintain different preferences.
Lamasan expressed their observation on the different preferences of Filipino and international viewers.
“Sa Pilipinas talaga, romance works and family[-oriented films]. Pero sa international, it’s action, horror.”
Olivia and Kriz went to the Singapore Media Fest to support FDCP (Film Development Council of the Philippines) for promoting Filipino films in the global market.
