  • Nourishing kids with the healthiest food to ensure their growth and development is always a priority among moms

Moms always go for what’s best for their family. And, according to several studies, they’re gravitating more and more towards organic food these days. This growth might be due to an overall public push toward a healthier lifestyle as well as the increased availability in the market.

While they cannot avoid their children’s exposure to toxins in the environment, moms believe that they have a say on what they eat. Our food today can be a source of artificial growth hormones and pesticides, which cause health risks to everyone. Children are most vulnerable because of their young and still developing immune systems. One of the best ways to limit children’s exposure to harmful chemicals is to introduce them to organic food at an early stage. Without foreign chemicals negatively interacting with its pure nutrients, organic food also offers greater nutritional value for children.

It might seem overwhelming, but transitioning to organic can be gradual and within budget. Here are some ways on how you can start your new lifestyle.

  1. Choose organic for greens and fruits that can be eaten whole. Produce such as potatoes and apples can be consumed without removing its skin, but these have the highest amounts of pesticide residues. To avoid intake of harmful chemicals and ensure that you get the good minerals and vitamins, switch to organic. Also, buy food items that have the lowest chemical remnants like eggplant, cabbage, mango, and onion.
  2. Use organic ingredients when preparing meals or snacks. Supplement your food with organic meat, eggs, and dairy, which are healthier. One of the few organic milk available in the market today is Promil® Organic. This is made from 100% organic dairy milk from certified European farms.
  3. Dine in restaurants which offer all organic food on their menu. You’d be surprised to know that there are already several options in the metro. Through a quick search online, you can review and choose among different farm-to-table concept restaurants that offer organic meals that fit your budget.
  4. Start an organic garden at home. It will only require little time and space to grow your own organic produce. This will also help you save money. The most important element in organic gardening is good and healthy soil. Home testing kits, available at gardening stores and online, can check the soil’s PH level and breakdown of nutrients to ensure that it is free of harmful chemicals.

Food and organic product organizations confirm that organic products have become more mainstream in recent years as the demand for healthier and more natural products have risen. Nowadays, organic products are not just found in specialty stores or drug stores but are made available at groceries, supermarkets, and online.

Nourishing kids with the healthiest food to ensure their growth and development is always a priority among moms. By establishing an organic lifestyle for the family, they are ensuring their kids get the best of nature and the best of health.

Discover what the best of nature has to offer through organic milk. To know more, visit www.promilnurturethegift.com.ph/promil-organic.

Note: Breastmilk is still best for babies up to two years of age. Promil® Organic is not a breastmilk substitute. Product is intended for preschoolers 3+.
