One of the entries on this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival is The Girl in the Orange Dress starring Jericho Rosales and Jessy Mendiola. The Kapamilya actor revealed that working with Mendiola let him witness how Netizens bashed the latter.
Despite how people bashed Jessy, Jericho will still support the Kapamilya star and encourage her.
“Siyempre, I was listening to her, pinapakinggan ko siya, ‘Huwag mong pansinin ang mga bashers.’”
In July, when Jericho posted a teaser photo of him with Jessy, Netizens quickly reacted and commented, sharing their disappointments knowing that he will be working with Jessy.

The next day, the Kapamilya actor then posted on his Instagram account about dealing negativity in life, indirectly defending Jessie from her bashers.

“Yeah, nag-post pa ako sa Instagram ko about negativity and I said, it will pass. Don’t let these people or itong situation na ito stop your dreams, your passion, yung talents mo. There’s so much more.
“It’s a test of faith lang iyan, strength, patience, love, forgiveness, parang ganun… and I think she knows that.”
The Girl in the Orange Dress is a film by Quantum Films and will be showing nationwide starting December 25.
